I am extremely proud of my record these past eight years as Clerk of Superior Court. My mission has always been to ensure your experience with the Clerk’s office has been positive, efficient, and consistent. Our job is to serve the taxpayers of this county by making their interactions with their county government better. To accomplish this, I’ve successfully:

Implemented Technology Upgrades

Under my leadership, the Clerk’s office has implemented e-filing before it was mandatory and replaced the Real Estate program with e-filing. This important update has allowed for a modern, efficient way for taxpayers to access real estate records without any undue burden. We’ve also deployed high-speed scanners to improve the efficiency of our filing efforts, began credit card processing which had previously been unavailable, and installed our own secure servers, separate from the county servers, for increased security of records maintained by the office.

Improved Facilities and Expanded Services

By running a smart, efficient office, the Clerk’s office was able to renovate our Real Estate Division’s facilities. For less than $60,000 — all from savings found in our office budget — we were able to add a break room for staff, replace the carpet, paint walls, and reconfigure the workflow in the office to ensure our staff can comfortably service the taxpayers while providing an easier environment to navigate. I was also able to oversee the implementation of a Passports Program that received a 100% rating two years in a row from the federal department responsible for licensing our office. We also have a dedicated technology fund to ensure that the services we provide, offer the best possible support, to best serve the taxpayers.

Ensured Quality Staff Serves Cobb County

In the Clerk’s office, we are a team. Without our team, our taxpayers could not count on the quality services they receive. I used budget savings to create a Technology Department and hired a Chief Technology Officer to help better service the taxpayers. We also have a new management team geared towards providing the right leadership needed to support staff and manage our office. This includes a Chief of Staff, Chief Operating Officer, in addition to the CTO position created with budget savings.
